Two-step Flow Theory

The two-step flow theory is a theory where people based their opinions on high social class people/leaders where the leader based their opinions on the media. It acknowledges that communication is a more complex process. It is based on a 1940s study on social influence. audiences are active and seen as part of a society there's more than two steps in the flow of communication.  This correlates to my magazine because many people feel forced to look a certain way due to social media. Especially, people like Kim Kardashian who has many fans and is considered a high social class, might be peer pressuring people to look like her without her realizing it. My magazine is about fitness and the benefits of it, not so much about looking a certain way. If many people were to read my article then it will eventually grab the attention of others due to it already having an audience.

The Hypodermic Needle Theory

It is a theory that states that when a message is produced, the message is received and accepted byt the audience. This was used in the Nazi propaganda, meaning to matter your belief you will accept the message and would have some type of influence by it. The theory was developed in the 1920s and 1935s Linear communication  Passive audience  No individual difference

Media Representation

Media representations can be anything published to demonstrate something. Everything in the media is constructed. Forms that can be considered representation are radio segments, newspaper articles, photographs, films, and many more. Just because you see something online it does not it is true. Constructing representation is a type of representation that you decide exactly what will you put out. You might remove thing that may not benefit you. One way that you can learn how the media works is deconstructing its' message.

When one is preparing for a fitness magazine photo shoot, one has to show that it is for a fitness cover. Besides using your body, there is other ways you can show off the fitness industry. I will name five props that you use to achieve this: Ropes- ropes can help emphasize your body by wrapping it around you or it can be used in the background to give off a story that you can use your own body weight.  Medicine ball- it can help demonstrate different workouts from sit ups to a plank which can show off your abs.  Dumbbells- this are to show your arm muscles or to just say that you workout. Gym gloves- it can help you stand out and show that you have been in the industry for a minute Chalk- to add spice to your photo shoot and show creativeness
