The Agenda Setting Function Theory
It was developed by Maxwell Mccombs and Donald Shaw. The study was published on 1972. They found a correlation between issues voters believed were important. This theory suggest that the more a news is published the more the people would recognized, meaning they are trying to instill things in oppose to what they believe. They did the study in 1968 with a presidential election in America.
