This was my shot set up and the things that I used. I used the sun as my lighting since I wanted a natural scenery. These were the items that my model mostly used as well.
It was every day, the bullying, the constant questions, “Are you anorexic? Are you starving yourself? Do you even eat?” Niyah Goodwin felt helpless, she couldn’t help the fact that she was skinny. She knew she was underweight, but she didn’t think it would impact her confidence this much. The kids were malicious, they would ask the same questions knowing the answer to them. Yes, she did eat. No, she did not have an eating disorder. Through all of this, she felt so many emotions, but all she could express was anger. It was hard on her, and all she wanted to do was feel normal. Goodwin started working out at the beginning of high school to boost her confidence and get that body she was always aiming for. Transcript: For my magazine ,I did get inspired by fitness magazines. However, I did challenge the conventions of it. For instance, typically, fitness magazines have a lot of taglines, whereas mine did not have as much. Reason being is because I didn't want to scare off people because me personally I tend to see that whenever I read a fitness or just any magazine, that have a lot of taglines. I kind of actually scares me away because it gives me the impression that it has way too much information and sometimes you want to go straight to a point. I also decided to follow a theme of just colorfulness because I wanted to appeal to the public eye, especially since my pictures aren't vivid and full of color. It's more like a natural setting in whatever color was presented in that day, and the colors of the model of whatever she was wearing.
