Marketing Magazines

I have researched ways to promote magazines in order to get higher sales. Some ways include:

  • Send out for free: it starts a consumer base and if the magazine is new, then you'll have an idea of how many actually like it
  • Advertise: you can create a website or go to well known stores to promote
  • Mails: electronically and mails; accumulate a list and send out information that's beneficial to one, including discounts.
  • Affiliate programs: getting in contact with well known blogs and magazines to promote your magazine
  • Social Media: the fastest way and best way is to advertise on social media; many people have many platforms which they come in contact everyday.

Question 3: How do your products engage with the audience and how would they be distributed as real media products?

Transcript: The start of my production from my magazine was to do research on the things that I want to incorporate and things I did not want to incorporate. So I first started to do research on the type of theme I wanted for my magazine and my website. And then from there I took it over to the type of pictures I wanted to take, the pictures that I did not want to take. And then from there I took it the way I took it over to do research on the way I wanted my magazine to look and the type of feeling I wanted my magazine to give to people.
